"Timeout"

Ok so Cosette is hitting the terrible twos early.
The other night I was sitting on the coach with her and she was not happy about me telling her “No”, so she hit me. Well, I told her that that was not nice and to tell mommy sorry; she kissed and mad up. Well a little while latter she once again did not like me telling her “No” and once again she was going to hit mommy. Well I told her that if she hit me again she was going to have to sit in her timeout chair. She got off my lap, hit me and put her self in timeout and just rolled her eyes at me; after she thought she sat in timeout long enough she proceeded to get up, walk over to me and gave me a kiss.
I don’t think that that is how the “timeout” chair is to work.

Cosette is one today

A year ago today at 9:43 AM our lives were blessed with the best little miracle.
I can hardly believe that a year has passed since our little Katarina Cosette was born.

As I was putting Cosette to bed last night I was telling her that today was her birthday and what her daddy and I where doing last year at this time. As I was telling her the story of her birth I became so over come with emotions and the realization of just how fast they grow. To think that just a year ago I was holding this tinny helpless baby in my arms and now I have this, still tinny, but independent little one year old who loves to say nini (nein ~ no in German) all the time and who has her own little thoughts and ideas of how things should go her way.

I am so grateful for unanswered prayers, (well not answered in my way). I know that I am a much better mother now then I would have been in my twenties and I now have the best partner. Back then I was so busy trying to find myself that I don’t think I would have enjoyed the little things in life or life threw a child’s eyes as much as I do now. I also know now that something’s just don’t matter in the bigger picture.

The struggle to have Cosette makes me appreciate each moment even more, and truly saver her accomplishments and growth.

It is so great to walk in the door and have this big eyed little girl run to meet you with the most adorable little smile and reach up to you so she can give you kisses. It makes everything ok.

Tonight we are taking Cosette to see Aunt Tiara in the hospital for her birthday (that will be a story for the baby book) since Aunt Tiara can’t be at the birthday party Saturday.

Tiara is doing great by the way and little Preston is growing stronger every day. Tiara’s spirits are great; it is amazing when I go to see her and how happy she is. I give her credit; I don’t think I would be smiling after three weeks in the hospital and five room changes. Thank you so much for all your prayers for her and her family.

Tiara

OK so I have been out of it for awhile. It is always busy the first part of the year at the funeral home. Trying to do all of the end of the year stuff, reports, taxes, inspections, pulse normal every day stuff. So by the time I get to the computer I just don’t fell like writing and really have a boring life that I think why anyone would want to read about that. But I have been enjoying everyone’s blogs and trying to keep up.

What I really want to do is up date everyone at one time on Tiara. As most of you know she has a hard time with her pregnancies. Well she is in the hospital now and they will keep her tell the baby is born. The due date is not tell May so we have some time. They are just trying to get her and the baby threw the next 25 days.
She has been at the hospital for a week now. They took her off the iv’s yesterday and if she didn’t have any more contractions last night they would take her outside in the wheel chair for some much needed fresh air. If you think about it could you all keep her and her family in your prayers? Tiara is taking this all in stride and is in good spirits. She is very strong and has put her faith in the Lord.
